We had Christmas with my mom's family on Christmas Eve. Here's our group photo. We also went to Chad's mom's family that evening but I guess I was pooped because I didn't take any pics. Sorry Sleighter's. Next year I promise! I love Matthew in this one! He was disgusted and thought we were all crazy!

17 weeks
17 weeks and counting. Everything is still going well. I'm pretty sure I've felt the baby move so I couldn't be happier about that. I am not so happy about my belly button making its way out though. You can't tell in my black shirt but it's there! I knew it would pop out sooner this time but this is more than I expected! Oh well! p.s. I also got a new haircut. Thanks Brenna! I love it!

Blakley Christmas
We went to my mom and dad's Christmas morning for breakfast. It was AWESOME!!! We were stuffed! Chase had a BLAST opening presents. He was definitely the center of attention for about an hour until he got tired of opening, then we all took our turns. He was pretty funny. Hopefully he learns to share by June otherwise we are in trouble. :) lots of gifts

Christmas with Nana
We spent Christmas evening with Nana and Papa Tony. Betty started a new tradition of us making pizza for dinner and it was a blast. Chase loved it!!! The pizza tasted great! Can't wait til next year. Helping Nana
Graves Family
We went to the Graves side of the family on Saturday 12/27 and had a great time. We tried for a group photo since everyone was home but we weren't very successful. Everyone is in the picture at least but, I can't say everyone is happy or looking at the camera. Still scrapbook worthy if you ask me. Just the stage the kids are at....not wanting to sit still for pictures. I love it though! Back row L-R: Steph, PJ, Kris, Jodi, Cara
Front row L-R: Paige and Madison(not looking) with Paul, Summer on Candy's lap, Chase on Mike's lap, and Chad

Big boy bed
Well Chase is officially in his big boy bed and he's done AWESOME! He's been sleeping in it for about a week now and we couldn't be more proud of him. He hasn't tried to escape once. It's gone so much better than I thought. His room is painted but not done yet, we are waiting on a dresser still, so when it's all finished I'll post pictures. Here is Chase in his new fire truck bed. Oops....I mean Stewart tried it out first. He "thinks" he's a big boy like Chase.

Visiting Santa...Chase style
Chad and I took the day off today to go Christmas shopping. While at the mall we stopped to see Santa. I was not at all surprised when Chase clung tight to Chad when he tried to put him on Santa's lap. I really wanted a picture though so I brought what any mom would bring....cookies!!!!
We asked Chase if he wanted to give Santa a cookie and of course he did so that got him a little closer. Then we asked if he would give Santa a hug...and that went pretty well too. He was NOT sitting on that lap though or sitting in the chair beside Santa. So here's what he have for a visit to Santa this year.....oh we love our shy boy! Thank goodness they let you use your own camera!!! Cookie for Santa

Update
I had another appointment yesterday with Dr. Lorenc. It went great! I am almost 15 weeks along. Baby's heartbeat was 146bpm which is very normal. We continue to pray that everything goes well. I go back in another month to see the doctor.
Big brother Chase will soon have a new room. Our project this weekend is to paint and get his room ready. I'll try to have pictures posted afterwards. The Sefton's let us borrow a toddler bed for him and he loves to play on it right now. Let's hope he loves to sleep on it soon too!

Baby #2
Hi all! I have been working a lot lately so our blog has been paying the price. We have good news! We are expecting baby #2(for those of you that don't already know that)!! We are due June 6th, 2009. So far everything is looking good, except for my bruised up belly. Let me catch all of you up on what's going on.
Back in May we saw a specialist to see if we could find out why I was having miscarriages. After a few tests we found out that some of my blood work came back abnormal. The tests had to do with blood clotting....not sure exactly what it was called. Some nurse I am huh? Anyway as soon as I was pregnant I started on a couple of medicines, one of those a daily injection, it's called Lovenox(blood thinner). I give it to myself every morning and that's why the bruised belly. It's going pretty well actually. I also take a low dose Aspirin.
We have had 3 ultrasounds and all has looked good. I have been released back to my regular OB doctor and we see him again in a couple of weeks. We feel very blessed to have made it this far and are looking forward to June. We think Chase will be one fun big brother. We are working on getting him into a new room and a big boy bed soon.
I hope to keep everyone updated...if I could quit working so much! Thank you to all who have been praying for us during this very difficult but exciting time. We really appreciate it! Here's the first belly shot. I'm starting to pop out a little, not sure how much of that belly is all the food I ate over Thanksgiving and how much is actually baby!
