One Funny Day

About a week ago on Sunday we had a pretty funny day with our crazy son! I snapped pictures as the day went on because it was just too funny, not to mention random. It went something like this: I recently got some new exercise shoes which Chase calls "walk shoes" and he's taken a liking to them. So that Sunday morning he went and put on his jersey and shorts and asked for my "walk shoes" so he could "lip(lift) weights" In these pictures he is lifting weights, he's apparently seen Chad and I doing some tricep curls and has picked up on it. Why he needs the special shoes to do it is beyond me.

Then while I was getting ready for church he thought he needed to put on my church shoes. At this point Chad says "His closet is going to be just like yours when he gets older". I say "there is nothing wrong with my closet. It's very neatly organized." Chad says "I meant he's going to have tons of shoes!" I said "Oh. sorry about that. He is around me a lot during the day".

Here is Chase brushing his teeth before church. He's in my shoes and Chad's hat. He did in fact ask if HE could wear my shoes to church.

close up

He thought this was appropriate for church I guess

Ok now we are back from church....and he did not wear my shoes or the orange hat. But as soon as we got home both pieces were back on him. We had stopped and got McDonalds for lunch after church.
Watching TV in his get up

switched hats for lunch I guess

Oh and I had to wear a hat too(lovely)

And daddy too while eating his cheeseburger (he loves this picture by the way)

Here's Chase taking a drink of "root berry" (root beer). He came up with that all on his own but man does he love that stuff. You can't see it but he's still wearing my cute red shoes.

And then a little bit later the church clothes came off and he was back in the jersey and shorts. Along with my red shoes, Chad's hat and still his church socks. What a sight!

One more shot of his awesome outfit! I usually do try to let him pick out his clothes most days. He usually fights me on what I pick out so I just let him do it. Most of the time I only say no if it's church.

Updates

New pictures to see!!! A few new posts below. This is just a cute pic of Chase reading some books in a laundry basket. He's pretty funny these days!

Children's Museum

Spring break was this week for Chad so we took a day and went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum.

We had lots of fun!!!! There is a ton of stuff to see there. It was pretty busy the day we went but as to be expected I guess. We told Chase that we were going the night before and he kept asking "When are we going to Zee-um's house?" He wasn't getting it I don't think. We didn't even see everything at the museum. Some of the exhibits are for older kids than Chase so we'll wait for those.
This is outside the front entrance of the museum. Very cool!

This is right by the door to go in.
Then this is what you see on the inside
We checked out the trains first.
There was a play train table.
And a huge real train. Every 1/2 hour or so they do a light/sound show of the big train so you can hear what it really sounded like. Chase was a little nervous at first but he ended up liking it.

They also had a train track above your head.

A random GIANT polar bear!!!!
One of the special exhibits right now is Bob the Builder, one of Chase's favorites. It was the next place we checked out. It was VERY COOL!!!! The other special exhibit is BARBIE....we opted to stay out of there.

Chase and Bob

There was a little garden that you could pretend to plant stuff in.

Legos to build with

tool tables
And a little area to build a rock wall

This is a water clock that was in the main part when you walk in. We didn't really get to read about it but it runs on water alone. It was really cool.

And next to the water clock was a giant slide. We waited in line forever but Chase loved it. When we got done he said "lets do that again". We did it twice.......that was enough waiting.

After lunch we went to the section that was just for ages 5 and under. It was really neat especially since Chase wasn't getting run over by big kids. There was lots to do. Chase was a lot more brave than I expected.

And this was Chase on the way home. No nap that day! I think he had a lot of fun.

Easter

Some shots of our Easter this year. Now normally I would have dressed us all cute and matchy but it just didn't happen this year. So no cute church outfit pictures....just us in the afternoon while hunting eggs at Nana's.
Group photo....everyone always loves when I say it's time for this!!!!!

Hunting some eggs
