10 Years

May 1998

Chad and I have been together for TEN years today(well give or take a day). We can't remember exactly. This first picture was taken on Chad's last day of school at CCHS. Oh to be a teenager again(no thanks!!).
I was a student aide in the guidance office at CCHS, and Chad was an aide the same period in the athletic office. We knew each other, but that's when we met officially.
Our first date was dinner and a movie, Titanic and McDonalds.
He graduated and went off to IU while I stayed at CC for one more year. We dated for 5 years, which were hard at times because we were long distance but we made it. We were engaged in May 2002, and got married May 31, 2003. Apparently May is our month. The rest is history.
In honor of our 10 years I'd like to list 10 things I love about my husband. Even though I could list many more I'll stick to 10 for now. In no particular order..here's to you Chad.

1. Your love for Jesus (well that one is in order).
2. Your blue eyes
3. The way you take one last bite of your restaurant leftovers before putting them in the fridge.
4. Your patient and positive attitude
5. The way Chase lights up and smiles when you walk into a room.
6. Your passion for sports(even though I don't always act like I love this one). :)
7. Your love for animals
8. Your facial hair
9. The way you help around the house even when you are tired from working and coaching
10. The example you are to your students and players

I could list many more!!! I love you Chad! Happy 10 years, and here's to many more together!

Tim McGraw

Yep...you read it right, Chad and I went to a Tim McGraw concert last Friday night. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! We love his music and he is a great entertainer. Jason Aldean opened for him and he was good too. It was a little chilly and rainy but all worth it!!!!!!! It stopped raining by the time Tim came out. We counted and can think of at least 4 times that we've seen Tim and can't wait until the next chance we get. Thanks for the tickets Kate and Brian! Here's a good one for you:
Concert tickets................$28
Gas....................................$4/gallon
Lawn chair rental...........$8
Sitting in the rain with the one you love, on the lawn at a Tim McGraw concert,
with no umbrella.............PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!
We forgot our umbrella in the car and there were no passouts! Oh well!

And more Tim.....I took SO many pictures but only picked a few for you. Maybe I'll post more later because isn't he nice to look at?!?!?!?!?

Happy Birthday Chase...a little early!

Hey everyone! So...I have this really cool uncle named Jason. He bought me this new water/sand table for my second birthday. I don't turn 2 until July but Jason decided I would want to enjoy this all summer. Boy was he right! Did I mention how cool he is? Daddy went and bought some sand last weekend and put this together for me. My daddy is pretty cool too. The sand kind of reminds me of the beach and I LOVED the beach so now I have a little one in the back yard. I like to throw the sand out of the box...my mommy usually tells me not to do that but I don't always listen. It's my toy right? I also like to mix the sand and water together which gets kind of messy but it's my toy!! Maybe uncle Jason will come over and clean up my mess?!?!? Anyway...thanks a bunch to uncle Jason for my early birthday present!! I love you very much!!!

Visit to Gretchen

A couple of weeks ago Chase and I went to West Lafayette to visit a friend of mine from childhood. Gretchen and I grew up together and went to the same church. We were also in 4-h together. She and her husband, Michael have 2 little girls. Anna is almost 3 and Audrey is just a couple months old. We had a good time visiting...those girls are so cute!! Thanks for having us Gretchen and hope to see you again soon. Anna and Chase

Our silly little man!

Chase is quite the funny little guy right now. Not so funny are the fits he throws sometimes but for the most part we are laughing at him lately. He's taken an interest in hats. He loves his cars and this week learned the word "purple". Actually in the last month we've counted almost 10 new words I think. Way to go Chase!!!!! He also loves to say "hi" and "bye bye" to anyone he sees like at the grocery store or on a walk, and don't forget to blow them a kiss also. He has figured out how to pet Stewart..nicely please, but not even close to petting Sammy. She just runs away. He's learned to climb on the couch and kitchen chairs too. He's keeping us busy right now, I could go on and on. Enjoy. Daddy loves the Dodgers and Chase loves the hat

We just asked Chase where his hat goes. He's pointing to his head. He's so smart.
Look at me!
He has an animal toy on the fridge with a purple cow, (weird if you ask me) he looked at it, ran into us and said "purple", then started smiling and clapping. He had learned the word earlier in the week at Miss Angies. He's about to say purple in this picture.

Chicago

Chad and I went to Chicago last weekend to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Our actual anniversary is 5/31 but last weekend worked best to go. Hard to believe we've been married 5 years already. Where did the time go? We shopped on Michigan Avenue, ate pizza, went to Navy Pier, and went to ESPN zone. It was pretty chilly but we had a good time. I am so thankful for a wonderful husband!!! Thanks to our parents for watching Chase while we were gone. We stayed at the Drake hotel.....very nice. Thanks priceline!!
Deep dish pizza

Garrett popcorn....so yummy!!!!

mommy's shoes and chips

Chase decided today that it would be fun to put Mommy's shoes on or as he says "oooh", that's his word for shoe. He's pretty stylin' in these crocs. And last night while daddy worked on the computer he thought it would be fun to crawl up on the fouton with his bag of chips. He's a pretty funny guy right now..enjoy.
