Children's Museum

Spring break was this week for Chad so we took a day and went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum.

We had lots of fun!!!! There is a ton of stuff to see there. It was pretty busy the day we went but as to be expected I guess. We told Chase that we were going the night before and he kept asking "When are we going to Zee-um's house?" He wasn't getting it I don't think. We didn't even see everything at the museum. Some of the exhibits are for older kids than Chase so we'll wait for those.
This is outside the front entrance of the museum. Very cool!

This is right by the door to go in.
Then this is what you see on the inside
We checked out the trains first.
There was a play train table.
And a huge real train. Every 1/2 hour or so they do a light/sound show of the big train so you can hear what it really sounded like. Chase was a little nervous at first but he ended up liking it.

They also had a train track above your head.

A random GIANT polar bear!!!!
One of the special exhibits right now is Bob the Builder, one of Chase's favorites. It was the next place we checked out. It was VERY COOL!!!! The other special exhibit is BARBIE....we opted to stay out of there.

Chase and Bob

There was a little garden that you could pretend to plant stuff in.

Legos to build with

tool tables
And a little area to build a rock wall

This is a water clock that was in the main part when you walk in. We didn't really get to read about it but it runs on water alone. It was really cool.

And next to the water clock was a giant slide. We waited in line forever but Chase loved it. When we got done he said "lets do that again". We did it twice.......that was enough waiting.

After lunch we went to the section that was just for ages 5 and under. It was really neat especially since Chase wasn't getting run over by big kids. There was lots to do. Chase was a lot more brave than I expected.

And this was Chase on the way home. No nap that day! I think he had a lot of fun.

The last picture of him asleep cracks me up! The museum is great... so big that I think it would take days to see all of it. I love how they change exhibits!
